Hi! Its me (us)! So we went to Joe's family reunion the first week of May and all caught HORRIBLE colds (the worst in memory for Joe and I), so I'm really behind on stuff like updating this site. PS - I didn't know it was possible to not be able to taste your food. It would be a great diet - so smell, no taste, no enjoyment whatsoever. Within a few days of settling back to Sacramento, Sydney's cough had moved into her chest, and her temp had soared to 103.6. The doctor's x-rayed her to check for pneumonia, which she didn't have (thank god). By the time she was getting better I was useless... and then Joe was sick. Mom (who is down here visiting her doctors again) was the only one who managed to miss out on this virus. That's lucky though, since she had recently been into the shop for some more body work. She is recovering remarkably well and should be able to return to Juneau at the end of June.

We misplaced the camera for the month of May (with the exception of a few photos on vacation), so I will need to get the few photos we have up this weekend. The big news (that we have not been able to capture on film) is that Sydney took her first steps two days ago! First unaided steps that is. She stands up at the end of the sofa, holds onto it for a few feet, then lets go and runs the last few steps and launches herself onto whoever is sitting there. Its very endearing.

Okay, so I mainly wanted to let you all know that we're still alive. I need to get mom down to UC Davis for a doctor's appointment. I will post more this weekend!
